Chickens/Hens (CC)
Hello everyone! How are you this morning? It’s really cold out here in my side of world but no snow though. It’s also time to post another Camera Critters and my entry for this week is Chicken/hens. These chickens reminded me of my childhood. We used to have chickens when I was growing up in the village where I used to live. There are lots of them running around our backyard. When we want chicken for dinner we just catch one of them and killed one. OMGosh now that I remember how to kill chicken I don’t think I can do it again. Anyway it was really hard catching chicken too because they ran so fast and fly up on the trees so we need a dog to help us catch the chicken. Oh well that’s my childhood memory. Have a blessed weekend everyone!

Makes me feel kind of bad for what I have cooking in the slow cooker at the moment.
Great photo!
Wow I have never seen a white rooster before.

Brings back memories for me too. My Grandma would catch them and cut their heads off – seems so tramatic to have watched that.

She loved her chickens though and I can hear her now saying how pretty they were.
Love this white one of yours!

These are great captures! I don’t think I could eat chicken if I had to kill it first.

Wow, I love that first black and white shot! Thanks for stopping by today.
Cool pics, the fluffy white chicken is one cool bird.
I have never killed a chicken but I used to clean them after someone else did the deed.

Your photos are lovely, and I like how you have framed them. They have a beautiful vintage quality to them.

Great shots!
No chickens around here… lotsa cats, though… screaming around the house, play fighting, anxious to get out, but with another snow squall, and snow up to their arm pits they decline to go outdoors today!
Thank you for visiting My Muskoka !
